Ms. Melinda Windham brings over 25 years of distinguished service as the Chief of Contracting & Policy for the federal government and as Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Windham brings unparalleled expertise in policy development, compliance, and organizational leadership to the United Medical Wellness Complex Foundation. In these roles, Ms. Windham oversaw multimillion-dollar contracts,
crafted federal business policies, and ensured accountability across complex systems — experience that now informs the foundation’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and impact.
​As CEO, Ms. Windham provides strategic vision and governance for the foundation, ensuring that resources are directed toward expanding access to medical and wellness services for underserved communities. Beyond professional achievements, Ms. Windham serves on the board of a nursing
institute and a nonprofit dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, reflecting a lifelong dedication to advancing healthcare equity.
A passionate advocate for mentorship and service, Ms. Windham has guided inner-city girls through leadership programs and volunteered at local nursing homes, embodying the foundation’s mission of compassion and community care. This blend of federal oversight experience, nonprofit leadership,

Dr. Michael L. Bookhardt

Dr. Michael Bookhardt is a highly accomplished physician and leader in family medicine, healthcare management, and community outreach. A graduate of Oakwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, he earned his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management from Davenport University. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is currently serving as a hospitalist physician and also as one of the founding primary care doctors at Good Faith Wellness Center.
Dr. Bookhardt, has previously held the position of medical director for various hospice companies throughout his tenure in Mississippi. His leadership roles have also included medical directorship at Spine Medical Center in Jackson.
Dr. Bookhardt is also a sought-after speaker and healthcare advocate, having participated in national forums such as the White House Summit on community healthcare partnerships and the American Academy of Family Physicians conferences. He is a founding member of Community United Outreach nonprofit organization in Orlando, FL.
Currently he is an active member of organizations like the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Mississippi Medical Association. Outside of medicine, he is a dedicated musician (keyboard player), a small business owner in Jackson, MS, and the founder/creator of the captivating podcast entitled “Telehealth Tuesday”.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Bookhardt boasts a career rooted in clinical excellence, community service, and leadership. He is the proud father of two beautiful daughters and the owner of two amazing dogs: “Bear” and “Uno”. Dr. Bookhardt is committed to locally advancing healthcare and empowering his community. Ms. Levettea Davis serves as the Grant Manager for the United Medical Wellness Complex Foundation, where she oversees all aspects of grant development, compliance, and reporting. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising, Ms. Davis has successfully secured millions of dollars in funding to expand access to medical and wellness services in underserved communities.

In her role, Ms. Davis manages the full grant lifecycle — from prospect research and proposal writing to post-award monitoring and evaluation. She collaborates closely with clinic leadership, program directors, and community partners to ensure that funding opportunities align with the foundation’s mission of delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Ms. Davis is recognized for her meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to translate complex healthcare needs into compelling narratives for funders. She has a proven track record of building relationships with government agencies, private foundations, and corporate donors, ensuring the organization remains financially sustainable and responsive to community needs.

Beyond her professional expertise, Ms. Davis is passionate about health equity and
community empowerment. She regularly volunteers with various nonprofits and has established a nonprofit to provide scholarships, mentoring, and career development to local underserved students.
